Fast Times 5K Race
On April, 2013 from 7:30 am to 9:00 am, six Devil Duckies went to the Fast Times 5K Race in Mission Bay. We cheered on the runners and walkers and also helped to deter the spectators so they weren’t in the participants’ way. This is a way for us to help out our local schools in the community.

Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon
On June 2, 2013 from 4:00 am to 10:00 am, seven Devil Duckies went to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon in Downtown San Diego. At this event we first helped guide people onto shuttles to take them to the starting line of the race. Then we were assigned to gear check where we gave the runners their stuff that they had stored for the duration of their race. This is a way to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Horizon Youth Program Demonstration
On July 17, 2013 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, four Devil Duckies went to Horizon Elementary to demonstrate our robot, “Ultimate Assent” to the campers of the Inventors camp. The young campers built a goal out of a hula-hoop, duct tape, a plastic tub, and sand for us to shoot the frisbees into. We presented about our team, F.I.R.S.T., and how they could start their own FLL team at their school.
TriRock Triathlon
On September 21, 2013 from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm, three Devil Duckies went to the TriRock Triathlon in Downtown San Diego. We helped handout race registration packets the participants and answered any questions they may have had about the race the next day. This was a way to help the Crohn’s & Coltis Foundation of America and other foundations involved in this race. On September 22,2013 from 5:30 am to 11:30 am, four Devil Duckies went to the TriRock Triathlon in Downtown San Diego. We helped guide the participants in and out of the transition areas. We also helped to keep spectators out of the way so they would not get hurt. This was a way to help the Crohn’s & Coltis Foundation of America and other foundations involved in this race.
Lindbergh Schweitcher Carnival
On October 19, 2013 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, ten Devil Duckies went to the Lindbergh Schweitcher Elementary Carnival. We brought our Ultimate Assent robot to demonstrate to the spectators of the carnival. The children came up and asked questions about the robot and caught frisbees thrown by our robot. this was a way to teach kids about F.I.R.S.T. and the FLL program that is offered at their school.
